Rev Wright on Moyers (LiveBlog for ALL)(Link to show provided)

Fri Apr 25, 2008 at 06:11:51 PM PDT

Not going to be the biggest diary. I just thought it would be nice to have a place where people could discuss Rev. Wright on Moyers.

So far the program has focused on his history and it is a good one.

http://www.pbs.org/...

I'm not sure if that's the whole interview they feature, but it could be. PBS is normally good with that stuff.

Bush and those Signing Statements

Wed Jan 30, 2008 at 08:39:58 AM PDT

Well Bush isn't done yet in his quest for a permanent influence in the oil rich Middle East.  While signing the Defense Act into law yesterday he also issued another signing statement.

Bush has again said that provisions in the law "could inhibit the President’s ability to carry out his constitutional obligations.
From Think Progress

Why would he issue this signing statement?
And why is the media ignoring this issue again?

Poor Circuit City-Poor Big Business

Sun Jan 13, 2008 at 07:44:10 AM PDT

Not the longest diary today, but I thought this article I read in the Bergen Record of NJ was very interesting. A few months ago we were critizing Circuit City for laying off there experienced work staff and replacing them with low paid newbies.  Well Lookie here it backfired. Good for Circuit City

Read on to find out why Circuit City is having a great day today

I'm confused because I am agreeing with Pat

Sun Nov 25, 2007 at 08:29:21 PM PDT

This won't be the longest diary in the world, but wanted to ask a question to everyone.   I was just looking at Drudge (Yes Drudge) and they have headlining the page excerpts from Pat Buchanan's new book. Now this man and myself don't agree on much at all.   So why is it that I am agreeing with many of the things he writes???

Sat Sep 15, 2007 at 08:39:22 PM PDT

What does this really mean?  Alan is pushing 81 and knows that his years of public service are done. Did he make this statement to sell his book or does he really want to start GOP war II

Our country is in deep deep trouble. From the W Post

If this is true this is crazy (Comprehensive Immigration Reform is coming)

Wed May 16, 2007 at 03:45:09 PM PDT

Yes it's from Red State our enemy, but they are just as against this as I am and many many Americans are.  The Sell-Out Senator from Mass is about to release this wonderful bill many Kossers are jumping up and down for.   Comprehensive Immigration Reform (Big Business makes out like bandit Bill of 2007).    I am trying to find another place to confirm the information posted on the evil red site, but if a drop of this is true this stuff is crazy.

This link takes you to an evil place, But I had to post it

America's real immigration crisis

Sun Mar 18, 2007 at 08:47:39 AM PDT

I am one that is 150% against the legal amnesty that the Bush Admin along with the Chamber of Commerce and well most Dems support. I do not think it's fair to allow certain groups to land here and get free passes and other groups not. (Good example Cubans vs Hatians). Then we have the allowed border crossings from Mexico designed to provide a cheap labor source to big business.

On the other side we have families that have come here  most legally at first, but when they wanted to settle down and start a future in America they were run around in circles for 5,10,15 years before the government just says sorry we have to deport you.

Why we should be worried about Hagel

Mon Feb 26, 2007 at 11:35:46 AM PDT

The more I read articles about this man the more I think we should be worried. Why you ask? Because you are going to have people in the South and Midwest that are tired of Bush, but don't want "weak" Dems or Fake Republicans (Talking about you America's Mayor) running the country. This from Today's "USA Today"

"But Hagel has not only emerged as a leading critic of the administration's foreign policy, he's also flirting with running for president next year — possibly on a hybrid ticket that would include a Democrat."

GOPer's bill requires Congress OK on Iran

Sat Jan 13, 2007 at 04:26:21 PM PDT

Well I don't know if this was posted anywhere else on here, but this is big.  You know this Impeachment thing isn't sounding to far fetched. The Republicans would like to keep there nice cushy Congress-Criter jobs. When Bush is finished you will see the Repubs with 20 seats in the House. I don't believe they want that to happen.

Don't be fooled by low gas prices

Tue Sep 26, 2006 at 08:04:26 PM PDT

Well the good folks at the Jackson Sun (Jackson, TN) wrote a great article on why our gas prices are so low. Who do they say is to thank.
Well Dick"Haliburton"Cheney
The comments below the article are also a good read. The locals have given "Tom Bohs": The editorial page editor lots of great feedback. There is one good post about why gas prices in Ohio are so cheap even though they refine no gas.

Take a look and judge for yourself

Democrats must seize the moment

Thu Sep 01, 2005 at 07:12:25 PM PDT

It sounds like the wrong time to be bringing this up, but this horrible event is more than bad. Right now we are pretty much telling the minority people of NO to kill themselves or just die.  I wonder what the response would be in Palm Beach or out on Long Island.

This shouldn't be a time for politics, but it really has to be hammered home that this President doesn't care about you.  Black or White, Christian or Jew.

Let me ask a question-  Where is Dick? This man is the Vice President of the country. Tomorrow is Friday.  The man hasn't even spoken in Baton Rouge or Texas or anywhere.

I know that the Dem Leadership don't want to start this, but someone has to. By Christmas the president should have approval ratings of less than 10%. There is nothing he has done for anybody in this country unless you make more than 5-10 million dollars.

Democratic Party, you need to turn up this message. It looks like over 10000 people are going to die in this mess and most of it could have been prevented with proper planning.

Hillary is very Stupid or Very Very Smart

Sun Jul 24, 2005 at 06:27:33 PM PDT

(http://www.drudgereport.com/flash3hcr.htm) Just read on Drudge that Hill is going to support Bush's Supreme Court pick Roberts. I am getting a little scared. I like Hill because I think in the long run she would be a good President. Plus she is the only woman around that even has a chance to become President. The problem is that she is trying to be a Republican. OR...(read the extended entry)

What Happened and how can we change it??

Wed Nov 03, 2004 at 06:59:34 AM PDT

Well now that the election is over and Bush is President for another 4 years let's try to figure out what happened. From reading some of the other diaries here I see that  gay marriage caused more people to come out for Bush. Outside of that what did it??

If you ask me I think that people voted for Bush because Kerry didn't run on anything. He never came up with a plan. Never had a grand scheme to change things. He just said he would be different than Bush.

What could we do to change this and get the party ready for 2006?  Getting rid of Terry McAuliffe is a start. We have to become a different party than the Republicans.

What do you think??
