I was lucky to be in Des Moines for the JJ dinner this weekend and did a little informal polling myself.

I got an email the other day about the above resolution, to be put forth in the House, that would demand that the only further military funding for Iraq be used for troop withdrawal, and for transition to Iraqi control.

It is so new that it doesn't have a number yet, and they are asking for co-sponsors. If everyone here contacted their representative, maybe it could get going.

Isn't it time, considering all the things that are going from bad to worse, that we organize an enormous march on Washington? Blogging is all well and good, but unless people log on, they can't see how we feel. It is time to take to the streets. And as soon as possible too.

From a link here yesterday, I read the Weekly National Security Index at http://www.democrats.senate.gov/dpc/dpc-doc.cfm?doc_name=fs-109-1-86 and was utterly appalled. Can't we make this widely known? And this doesn't even reflect the outrage over Hurricane Katrina.
